ChatGPT bloccata in tutta Italia, tranne che a Verbania

La notizia del giorno è la chiusura di ChatGPT a livello nazionale a causa dei chiarimenti richiesti dal Garante della privacy italiano.

Provando ad accedere a ChatGPT si viene infatti accolti da questo messaggio

We regret to inform you that we have disabled ChatGPT for users in Italy at the request of the Italian Garante.

We are issuing refunds to all users in Italy who purchased a ChatGPT Plus subscription in March. We are also temporarily pausing subscription renewals in Italy so that users won't be charged while ChatGPT is suspended.

We are committed to protecting people's privacy and we believe we offer ChatGPT in compliance with GDPR and other privacy laws. We will engage with the Garante with the goal of restoring your access as soon as possible.

Many of you have told us that you find ChatGPT helpful for everyday tasks, and we look forward to making it available again soon.

A quanto pare però, questo avviene su tutto il territorio italiano: tranne che a Verbania, a causa di una configurazione software, probabilmente errata, all'interno dei server di OpenAI.

Non sappiamo se questa situazione perdurerà nel tempo, ma si iniziano già a vedere i primi effetti, con Verbania invasa da turisti il cui unico scopo, non è quello di visitare le bellezze della nostra zona, ma rimanere incollati al proprio cellulare per poter usare ChatGPT in piena libertà
